Classic Auto Storage or “Classic” provides indoor, climate controlled and secure storage solutions for owners of classic and speciality automobiles. No membership is required; all cars are welcome. We are strategically located in the downtown Minneapolis warehouse district one block from freeway 94 and within walking distance to the new Minnesota Twins Target Field. Our facility contains three 24,000 square foot levels connected by ramps, 2½ levels above grade and ½ level below grade.
The building was originally constructed in 1922 to house and repair vehicles for the Franklin Creamery and used after World War II as a warehouse for army surplus vehicles. In early 2000 the building/business was purchased by the Rabanus family. We saw the need for indoor short and long term storage solutions for collector car enthusiasts. Since early 2000 the property has undergone extensive renovation and rehabilitation. The building has had a new roof installed, all brickwork redone and all storage rooms renovated and repainted to insure the best environment for cars. We came with many years of experience in the automotive field and have our own large collection of speciality cars.
